During the Milan fashion week Spring/Summer 2020, one of my dreams came true. On September 18, 2019, I received confirmation that I was face to face for the Spring – Summer 2020 season of Max Mara. I was very happy! I flew to Apulia the day before. – I remember that day very well! Just before departure I had to do some castings, finish the last fitting for fashion show, and get a manicure and pedicure for the photoshoot. I have to admit that I had to rush to make it on time for the flight! Believe me, it was one of the craziest days in my life – of course in the positive sense of the word! I love this feeling when I realize how much I got accomplished in the day.
MAX MARA PHOTO SHOOT
The photo shoot was set in the Apulia region of Italy. It is an historic land in ancient Italy. It was such a beautiful place. This is where our Max Mara Leisure Beachwear Spring Summer 20 campaign was shot. I couldn’t have wished for a better team! Alvaro Beamud Cortes is one of my favorite photographers because working with him you don’t even realise when the pictures are taken. He just takes them so naturally. Alvaro also has a great sense of humor, thanks to which the atmosphere on the set is always very pleasant. Stylist Aline De Beauclaire did beautiful looks and took care of the smallest details. During the break we even had time for swimming and sunbathing! Max Mara gave us a really free hand to create their vision.
I immediately liked the collection, which is why I would like to tell you more about it.
Max Mary’s S/S 2020 collection is inspired by Mediterranean architecture and southern landscapes. There is no shortage of colors – from the white of the sidelight to the green of the plants, shifting between shades of olive, grape, cactus, monochrome sky and sea blue and the pink and magenta tones of the bougainvilleas.
My favorite look is to combine the Max Mara swimsuit with a light pink button down shirt with rolled up sleeves.
The collection includes many one and two-piece swimsuits with an elegant and minimalistic cut.
There are also dresses with beautiful delicate colors. The dreamy color palette focuses primarily on deep blues.
And most importantly, Max Mara chose light, natural materials such as cotton and linen.
A huge plus is that in the Leisure Beachwear spring-summer 2020 collection, the brand focused primarily on comfort
I was obsessed with the white high-waisted pants.
In my opinion, the one-piece striped swimsuit stands out from the whole collection. It’s great and very stylish!
I am delighted with how the Campaign came out. Working with such an amazing team and wonderful people was truly a great pleasure!
